Instructions for Use
Cool Medics® products are constructed from a patented three-layer fabric that will provide cooling for a long time (4 - 6 hours depending upon the environment) after allowing the product to soak in water. Cooling process can be repeated approximately about 400 times.
Activation:
- Immerse the product in water for 1 - 2 minutes so that the fabric absorbs the water right to the inner filling. The water does not need to be cold water for this activation process to work. Do not let the product in water for a longer time than 2 minutes.
- Gently wring out the excess water so that the product is wet (only damp), but not dripping. You may towel dry the inner membrane if you require.
- The product is prepared for use. You will be pleasantly surprised how cool you or your pet will instantly feel.
After a period of time if you feel the product is not cooling you sufficiently, simply repeat the 3-step process.
It might become apparent that while you are wearing the product, it starts to feel that the cooling process has diminished, and it is no longer cooling you. Just like a swimming pool, if you get out the pool because it feels warm, and back in again, to a cool pool, the product will perform the same. Taking off the product, waiting a few minutes and then wearing the product again will feel like the product has been reactivated.
Notice: Cool Medics® products for horses (and for dogs eventually) can be immersed in water for a longer time (for 5 - 8 minutes) and then used for an animal. DO NOT wring products activated in this way !!!
Upkeeping:
Cool Medics® products can be washed when dirty but only on a cool cycle in the washing machine, soft soap and without detergents. Do not spin dry, but rather lay flat to dry. Do not iron. In spite of the fact we do not recommend washing Cool Medics® products. The lifetime is lower then. Store only when dry to prevent mildew.
Notice:
Using Cool Medics® products in any closed space can’t be considered to be a sufficient prevention of overheating! The ideal cooling efect is possible only during a contact between the product and a body. Use Cool Medics® products always with having a respect to the environment and the health state of the wearer.
